𝘞 𝘖 𝘙 𝘒  Landscapes of Taipei 台北風景

In the midst of a busy daily life, I use my smartphone to record scenes that unexpectedly catch my attention while moving through the city. This way of working is similar to “street observation,” focusing not on famous landmarks or major events, but on overlooked details and the interesting relationships between people, objects, and their surroundings. Through walking and observing, ordinary urban scenes gradually reveal humor, coincidence, and poetic qualities.

These photographs are both a collection of everyday experiences and a form of fieldwork in daily life. Through the camera, I try to rediscover a sense of unfamiliarity within familiar places and explore new ways of seeing the city.

This book is handmade and presented in an accordion-fold format, allowing the images to unfold in a continuous sequence, much like a walk through the streets. Its passport-sized format makes it easy to hold and browse. As the pages unfold, readers are invited to travel through Taipei alongside the artist, experiencing the city through the act of walking and looking.
